Privacy policy
How LibrAsset handles personal information for the universities that use it, and for the students and staff who sign in.
Last updated 3 October 2026
Who is responsible
Each university controls the personal data in its own LibrAsset space. Sleekabyte Technologies processes that data on the university’s behalf, under a written agreement, and in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
What we collect
Name, institutional email, matric or staff number, faculty, department, level or position, phone number if you add one, and records of what you borrow, return, report or approve.
Why we collect it
To verify that you belong to the university, run loans and handovers, track equipment and repairs, apply the strikes policy, and keep an audit trail the university can rely on.
Who can see it
Only people with a role that needs it. Borrowers never see who else has a copy. Staff see the records their role covers. Sleekabyte staff access data only to provide support, and every access is logged.
How long we keep it
For as long as the university’s retention policy requires. When an account is removed, loan and audit history is kept for accountability; personal details are removed when that period ends.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to how it is used. Ask your university first; if you can’t reach them, contact us and we’ll pass it on.
